What is Treyd?

Treyd is a buy-now-pay-later service for supplier invoices. We pay your suppliers on your behalf and you pay us back up to 4 months later.

The point of Treyd is to free up capital that would otherwise get stuck in the supply chain. Growing businesses can keep momentum as they don't need to worry about cash flow crunches, or make hard choices between investing in growth or stocking up on inventory.

Treyd is a regulated payment institution with the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen) and is backed by two leading venture capital funds and a long list of individual investors.

What does Treyd finance?

We finance a range of business expenses by paying supplier invoices directly. This includes inventory purchases, supply chain services, digital marketing expenses and pre-production payments. Financing is limited to costs that are in line with the customer’s registered business description.

How does Treyd work?

After creating your account and getting approved for a Treyd limit, you can upload your supplier invoices along with payment details in the Treyd portal. Treyd will pay your supplier according to your instructions and send you a payment confirmation. You will also get an invoice from Treyd for the repayment (that should happen within 1-4 months, depending on the terms you choose).

How do I get Treyd limit?

When you create your account, you’ll need to provide your company’s financial information and fill in a simple KYC for review. There are no strings attached or any cost involved at this stage.

Are we a good match?

Our credit analysis is based on a variety of factors, and is determined on a case-by-case basis. But generally speaking, we tend to be a match for limited companies (Ltd) that buy and sell finished products, and have been operating for at least one year – with a good growth potential and annual sales of $200,000 or more.

Do you require quality inspections?

Not always. Quality inspection is an optional service that can be used by all clients  – but in some cases we might require this to ensure the goods are sellable.

Do I need to tell my suppliers that we're using Treyd?

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily. When you pay with Treyd the payment will come from Treyd to your supplier. We use the invoice reference to ensure that the payment is connected to your original invoice.

Is Treyd revenue-based financing?

Nope. What we do is a bit more straightforward and specific. With RBF, you get capital to spend freely, in return for a percentage of ongoing revenue. With Treyd, your supplier invoices get paid in advance, and you pay back 1-4 months later with a simple and transparent flat fee. No integration with your shopping, ads and payment processing platforms needed.

Does it cost anything to sign up?

Nope. Having an account or a limit with Treyd doesn’t cost you anything.

We charge a flat fee for each invoice we pay on your behalf. The total amount will depend on your chosen terms of 1 to 4 months, but will always be clearly shown on the platform before you confirm your order. Having a limit won’t cost you anything – so you only pay for our service if you use it.

How is my fee determined?

The fee will vary depending on a few different factors, such as country of operation, your chosen repayment terms, the strength of your financials, and your trading history with Treyd. For this reason, it's hard for us to give an exact number on pricing – but you can reach out to our team with more info on your business to get an estimate.

Your Treyd Limit will be determined based on your company’s financials, as well as your trading history with Treyd.

So, what’s the catch?

There is none. A lot of people think Treyd’s offer seems “too good to be true” (especially once they hear we don’t take security on the financed inventory). But we run thorough checks before giving customers a limit and we do charge a fee for our service. We’re not just giving money away to anyone, without getting anything in return. We’re a business too. The reason we can keep our pricing competitive and ensure the risk we take on is manageable is that we base our assessments on our customers’ recent financials.

Treyd is GDPR compliant and only shares necessary data with our registered finance partners in the credit decision process.
